"Jacques Jaujard, Director of the French Order of Arts and Literature (Arts et Lettres), asked three artists to illustrate a book written by Gérard Bauer and dedicated to the history of the Presidential Elysée, Palace of the French Republic. Dunoyer de Segonzac executed the frontispiece. Michel Ciry was to depict the interiors. I was requested to illustrate the exterior architectural design as well as the gardens.
